Project summary
With a height of 60m the Solar Tower in Freiburg has the highest photovoltaic façade in the southern part of Germany. There were build in 246 modules with a total area of 327m². Before the construction of the building began there was made a RADIENCE simulation to analyse the shading on the future photovoltaic system through the surrounding buildings. Through the photovoltaic system the environment is discharged by 16t carbon dioxide, 11kg sulphur dioxide, 17kg nitrogen oxides and 4kg carbon monoxide per year.
